1. Information We Collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and profile picture from your Google account.

As you use Kanji Kraken we store your review history, progress data, and settings so we can schedule your reviews with the FSRS algorithm.

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. No cookie banner is needed.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and improve the Kanji Kraken service
• Schedule your spaced-repetition reviews
• Process payments via Stripe (we never see or store your card details)
• Send transactional emails (verification, password reset)

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

• Stripe — to process payments
• Google OAuth — if you choose to sign in with Google
• AWS — infrastructure hosting (data stored in the US)

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove all associated data within 30 days.

5. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@kanjikraken.com.

6. Security

Passwords are hashed with scrypt. All traffic is encrypted via TLS. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your data.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
